Wild Watercolour Flowers - online course (6 video workshops)

Wild Watercolour Flowers is an online watercolour journey, that explores free flowing painting techniques to nurture your creativity and inspire calm.

Join me as we delve into the wildness of flowers and experience the sense of freedom a flower in nature emits, as we flow though our painting practise.

All levels of creative experience are welcome. Whether you are a practicing artist seeking fresh inspiration or are curious to tap into the abundance of creativity that resides within you.

I am a watercolour artist, inspired by the natural world. I adore wildflowers, they represent the yin and yang of being wild and free, strong yet delicate. In 2023 I had the incredible experience of an Artist residency at Plantlife International, an Environmental Conservation Organisation.

This course shares my travels across the UK visiting some of Plantlife’s nature reserves and partner sites, immersing myself in my art in the flora in these beautiful locations. This course will introduce you to rare species and find comfort in some familiar favourites. We will meet flowers that are quite literally living on the edge, on the edge of cliffs and devastatingly on the edge of extinction.

On this course we will explore:

• A wide variety of wildflowers

• Watercolours and alternative art tools

• Breathing meditations to connect you to your creativity and quieten your 'inner critic'

• Trusting your artists intuition

This course is for you if you:

• Would like to develop how to use watercolours

• Want to create time to nourish your wellbeing

• Would like to let go of thoughts of self judgement

The course details

There are six pre-recorded workshops in total.

All sessions are pre- recorded, you can enjoy them at a time that suits you. You do NOT have to be available on the launch dates.

Sessions will then be published online on the 14^th of each month, with the final session being published June 14^th 2024 (6 total) schedule below:

14^th January – Wildflowers on the Edge - available now

14h February – Wild Orchids - available now

14^th March – Wildflowers and the Sea - available now

14^th April – Woodland Wildflowers - available now

14^th May - Tiny Wildflowers

14^th June – Wildflower Poetry

Each video workshop lasts between 60-90 minutes.

As this is online you will need to provide your own materials, you will need:

• access to the internet to take part in the class, they are pre-recorded and will be available to watch online.

• watercolour/cartridge paper

• watercolour paints

• brushes

• water jars

• cocktail stick (trust me!)

• kitchen roll/tissue/cloth

• pencils or chalks and any other art tools you would like to experiment with

Once booked you will receive a PDF with everything you need to know about preparing for the course and an introduction video. If you are purchasing this as a gift, I will send you the digital pdf for you to share with the person you are purchasing the course for so not to spoil the surprise. I will need the gift receivers email to forward workshop links. 

Finer details:

The sessions are accessible to you for 1 year from the launch date.

You can still purchase the full course after the January release date, you will receive links to several sessions at once, any remaining classes will follow the monthly schedule, for example you sign up in March, your Jan, Feb, March links will be sent in a bundle, your April, May and June will follow on the scheduled publishing dates.

No refunds will be given once the first session has gone live on 14^th January.
