Commissions

Unique paintings for you

I understand that the commissioning process can feel like stepping into the unknown. It can also be a joyful experience. Whether it is a gift to yourself or a loved one, a bespoke piece of art can bring warmth into your home. Our journey together begins with a consultation Zoom call, you may like to reflect on the following questions in advance.

Which pieces from my gallery speak to you most?

Are there any botanicals that carry meaning, energy or emotion for you?

Do you prefer a landscape or portrait composition?

Are there any colour palettes you particularly like or dislike?

Do you have a timescale in mind?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What sizes Do you offer?

If you do have a specific size in mind we can discuss this during our zoom call.

What are your prices and when do I pay?

Prices start from £300, 50% is payable as a non- refundable deposit at point of commission (after our initial call) the final 50% is due the day of delivery.

What delivery methods to do offer?

Tracked Parcel Force prices are approximately £25- £35. If you live within a 20 minute drive from Winchester/Southampton I may be able to deliver your art by hand.

How do I frame my commission?

Your piece will be mounted but not framed, I am not involved in the framing process, I am happy to offer the following guidance. If you are local to Hampshire I recommend Winchester Framers on Bridge Street.

What paints do you use?

I use a mix of hand poured mineral pigment pan watercolours, some of which have crystal properties. If you would like an extra layer of meaning to your painting, we can discuss the individual crystal energies. I also use liquid watercolour, inks and emulsion. All the paints I use are UV light fast pigments, which means their colours stay true when exposed to the sun. Even though steps are taken to reduce the effects of fading I would not recommend placing your art in direct sunlight.

More recently I have begun working with Natural Pigments, these pigments may fade or darken over time. I recommend museum grade glass (99% uv protection) when framing these pieces.

What is IP?

IP is Intellectual Property, although you are purchasing the artwork I, the artist retain Intellectual Property. I will have your piece professionally scanned and I may use it on other media. I am more than happy to discuss this further.

How long does it take?

It depends on whether you have a set timescale or if I have commission slots available. My diary is often booked up to two months in advance. So please don’t delay if you are interested, I will always do my best to work to your timings, I do priorities my own wellbeing and won’t commit to timescale where I can’t offer the attention your piece deserves. Once you are booked in your painting will take up to 4 weeks to be delivered to you. I am always happy to book timeslots far in advance, you will need to secure your place with a 50% deposit.
